Well I got a lot accomplished with the help of a friend and it went much faster. I think I can have this kitchen tore out by the end of next weekend.
The status of things now: I took off the frame for the door and I gained 4″ in the doorway! That is perfect. I also wound up taking the wall off in the “hallway”
and when I was cleaning up I found a snake skin in the wall. ewwwwl! I put moth balls in there. Some one just told me the other day about someone who had a snake in their bed and they think it came from in the basement. I put a draft thingy in front of the basement door. Please God…. don’t let me find a snake in the house…NO NO NO
