My new room is too small for a coffee table and I have no place for my remotes or to charge my cell phone so I wanted to make a sofa table. I found a solution on Pinterest. A narrow sofa table to go behind the sofa. I was in the thrift store when I … Continue reading

Stencils
The back story: A year ago I did a posting asking people who had products to contact me so I could post links to their pages. No one responded. The real reason I did this was because I came across some stencils in my reader and when I wanted to order them I could not … Continue reading
Deal of the Month..a coupon code
I like art. Big art. Different art. Cheap art. Dirt cheap large canvas art prints. And I am willing to go out of my way to get it. I love modern Indian Art but I can not afford it. Not in the least bit. I found a print that I liked but it was $9,000 … Continue reading
My bathroom Storage Solution
I had stuff in my bathroom everywhere. (ignore the junk in the mirror…I have major construction going on). There’s junk under the sink, on the shower rods, in the shower stall, hanging in baskets, a basket on the back of the toilet and my vitamins on the sink in the kitchen. It was getting out … Continue reading
A Little Progress Everyday!
So I showed you this morning the contractor started with a deck and by the time I woke up and made coffee they had gotten this far. I was still working on my cabinet in the bathroom. What started out as a between the studs shelf turned into a shallow shelf because I would have … Continue reading
Thoughts on the Closet in G’pa’s Room
SO I am still planning on making a wide deep closet and not having any doors on it. Something like this. Code requires that I have a window in the closet and that has been bugging the hell out of me. What to do. I did not want a window because I did not want … Continue reading
How to hang a heavy mirror for $2
I like old stuff because old stuff was built to last. That meant it was heavy and by today’s standards more expensive to make. Tonight I wanted to hang my new GOLD mirror. It has a wood frame and a wood back (vs a cardboard back). It is pretty heavy and the last thing I want … Continue reading
Vanity almost finished!
Jan 2 I am winging my boudoir. I purchased all the supplies to have a table with a skirt and as time is passing I am changing my mind on practically everything. You see, I live by the 10 minute rule. If I am 100% sure about it but don’t put it into action immediately … Continue reading
The Problem with being bored and feeling artsy is you do stuff like this
I am supposed to be working on my bedroom right? Well every time I pass these extra sample bottles I purchased (and are now just siting in my laundry room), I hear this pleading ” Find some place for me to be loved pleeeeease”. I felt sorry for them so I buckled in and decided … Continue reading
Reverse Stenciled Table with a Tulle Skirt Reveal (with a re-cap)
As you know, I started with two tables I got from Walmart a few years ago. I wanted this to be the base of my table. This is one of them. Then I purchased a 2’x4′ board from the store that messed up my toe, (Lowe’s), laid it on top and then primed it. I … Continue reading
Khalia’s Baby Doll Chair
My grand daughter, who is four years old and such a chatter box, informed me that all she wants for Christmas is a baby doll, and all doll stuff in the most dramatic way possible. I asked my duaghter what she got her and she said everything but the doll and the stroller. Cool. In … Continue reading
for Towels n Stuff
Okay so I have no linen closet in here and my stuff in my laundry room is all over the place. I clean it up and a few days later I am back to this and that corner was screaming for something to relieve me of this problem. I went to TROSA thrift store and … Continue reading
Reversed Stenciled Credenza
Thank God I’m cheap!! A new thrift store (TROSA) opened last month where the Walmart used to be and I was so excited about a gigantic thrift store being here but the first time I went in there I did not understand their pricing structure so I was a bit appalled at the prices. During my first visit … Continue reading
Shopping gal decal
So I been in the shopping mood…you know it being Christmas and all, and I have this blank spot on my wall screaming for something to fill it. While I was searching for images on another project I found this one: I do not shop in Gucci stores, hell I don’t even know where one … Continue reading
Renewing the Renewed Bathtub
I had to renew my tub again because when I did it the first time I did not follow their very specific instructions of NOT using any type of non slip gripping rug (they just want you to bust your butt I guess), then my cleaning lady used a magic eraser to clean it which wound up dulling the finish, I never recaulked it in 3 years, water seeped up under the paint and peeled it, then I purchased a fabric shower curtain which bled on the outside of the tub and I couldn’t get the dye off so I had to do the process all over again. But don’t blame me…blame the kids, grandkids, dad, dog, and/or evil karma. LOL Continue reading

Spring Garden Projects
Need some inspiration of projects for your garden…or something to give your honey to do? LOL here you go: Pillar perfection Eight, 10- and 18-inch-diameter PVC pipes cut to varying heights serve as the basis for these mosaic pillars. Overturned terra-cotta saucers turn two of the pipes into pedestals; the third cradles a flowerpot. Continue reading
Windows Part One
I have a problem and it is about time I correct it. I have no choice now. It has to do with my windows. My 50 year old windows. I have these handmade screens covering two of my windows. No doubt Mr Walker made them when he converted the house from a log cabin because this … Continue reading
A Point of no Return
